In April 2012 we are celebrating our 25th year. I know we don't look old enough - Sue must have been in pigtails and Paul must have been in short pants and even Geoff had a full head of hair when we started!

There have been a lot of changes to the hotel since Geoff bought it way back in 1987, it’s been a great journey and we think the hotel is looking pretty good in its Silver Anniversary year. One thing we are very proud of is our staff and especially the length of service, they are a great bunch and between them they have totaled up an amazing 425 years!

Many thanks to all our suppliers, tradesmen, local businesses and our fantastic guest are who return time after time, here’s to the next 25 years in business!

To celebrate we held an anniversary party at the hotel for our staff past and present, it was a great night and everyone had a wonderful time. The food was amazing, cooked and served by students of Kendal College and they certainly did us proud. We enjoyed fabulous entertainment, table magician, harpist, disco and fireworks to round off the evening...
